Linarite Specimen

Linarite Specimen

This linarite specimen is a beauty! Hosted in a bright orange citrine, it is accompanied by malachite, chalcopyrite, and other ore minerals, that make it a truly desirable piece! This specimen was found in Silverton Colorado while rockhounding in 2017. The Silverton area was a significant producer of gold and other precious metals for decades and has unique geology due to the Silverton caldera. During the teritary period it created large quantities of hydrothermal vents that concentrated the precious metals but also created the perfect geologic enviroment for the creation of unique and rare minerals, such as this linarite!
